It is advisable to involve Stephan Roux Ltd early on in the design process so we can offer our expertise on the wide range of possibilities offered by structural carpentry. We will work alongside your chosen architect or we can recommend several local architects should you need one.- Design work is done using FrameWright, a bolt on for ArchiCAD, one of the best Cad software packages for timber frame construction. This enables us to produce detailed plans, and fully rendered models of frames insuring a design tailor made to the clients requirements. (view examples)
- During the design process we liaise with our affiliated structural engineers who will provide structural calculations for building regulation approval.
- Once structural engineers’ approval has been gained, we will order the timber and start the carpentry.
